Biography

Dr Yvonne Brunetto is currently Professor of Management and HRM, in the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts. Dr Brunetto's PhD (Griffith University) was achieved in 2000 with her thesis Implementing Policies within an Institutional Framework. She has undertaken numerous research projects examining the different types of management support and their effects on professional, first response, and administrative employees.

Dr Brunetto is a member of SCU's Research Clusters:

Research

Dr Brunetto's research interests focus on the impacts of workplace relationships, especially the supervisor-subordinate relationship (managers’ practices) on the behavioural responses (wellbeing, psychological distress and performance) of employees. She has led research project in multiple countries including England, Scotland, Brazil, USA, Italy and Malta.

Dr Brunetto has published widely, with over one hundred research journal articles about how to ensure the best work contexts to achieve high performing employees.

Teaching and Supervising

Dr Yvonne Brunetto specialises in teaching work-integrated learning in the postgraduate teaching space and Human Resource Management in the undergraduate arena. Dr Brunetto has successfully supervised over 25 PhD and DBA candidates. She has marked 45 PhD theses from Australian and international universities
