Biography

Siqi Gao is currently working as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Business, Law & Arts at Southern Cross University. He received his PhD from the University of Sydney Business School in 2024. Prior to joining Southern Cross University, he held teaching appointments in Discipline of Business Information Systems at the University of Sydney, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate units of study.

Research

Siqi's research interests include digital gaming experience, gamification, online behaviours, and Chinese IT management. Specifically, he investigates the interaction between digital technologies and human behaviour, examining how they jointly reshape the ways we work and live. His work has been published in the Communications of the Association for Information Systems and presented at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS).

Teaching

At Southern Cross University, Siqi's teaching covers units within the Bachelor of Business (BBus) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, including Business Statistics, Data Management, Competitive Strategy, and Service Design.
