Biography

Samara is a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant at the Centre for Children and Young People, Southern Cross University, supported by the ARC's DECRA scheme.

Research

Her research explores race, whiteness and coloniality, with a particular focus on transracial-transnational adoption - a personal and political topic. Samara has a background in International Development and aims to expand the use of anti-racist and decolonial methodologies to amplify and reposition adoptees' voices in academic research.
