Biography

Dr Peter Butcherine is a Research Fellow at the National Marine Science Centre, Southern Cross University, where he started his postdoctoral career. Peter is an interdisciplinary researcher contributing to ecotoxicology, oceanography, and marine biology.

Research

Peter's research examines the complex interactions within estuarine and coastal marine ecosystems using field and laboratory studies. His recent research uses airborne remote sensing data to examine the effectiveness of solar radiation management interventions and their effect on coral stress to predict coral bleaching patterns.
