Biography

Professor Martin Hayden is Professor of Higher Education in the School of Education at Southern Cross University. He has wide-ranging experience as a scholar in the field of higher education.

He has produced or contributed to a large number of books, articles and reports, and has attracted significant research and development grants.

Professor Hayden has completed commissioned works and consultancies for a wide range of international agencies, including UNESCO, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and ASEAN. In Australia, he has undertaken projects for multiple Commonwealth Government agencies.

He is a regular reviewer of articles submitted to peak international journals in the field of higher education.

Professor Hayden's current research interests include higher education governance and management in the Southeast Asian region, and higher degree supervisory practices.
