Professor Kamal Dua is an internationally recognised and award-winning researcher in pharmaceutics and drug delivery, with extensive academic, research, and industry experience spanning three countries across two continents. His distinguished career reflects a strong commitment to advancing healthcare outcomes through innovative formulation science, translational biomedical research, and collaborative industry engagement.
Professor Dua’s research has made significant contributions to the management of chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly respiratory and airway disorders, through the development of novel nano-carrier–based drug delivery systems. His work focuses on identifying key molecular and cellular targets involved in disease pathophysiology and translating these discoveries into effective therapeutic delivery platforms, with a special focus on the phytoconstituent-based formulations with strong clinical potential. His research expertise encompasses pharmaceutics, nanomedicine, pharmacology, respiratory medicine, and translational drug delivery.
His scholarly contributions are evidenced by an extensive and high-impact publication record in leading international pharmacy and pharmacology journals. Professor Dua’s research strongly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Good Health and Wellbeing and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, reflecting both global relevance and societal impact.
To date, Professor Dua has authored more than 470 peer-reviewed publications, attracting over 25,000 citations.
