Biography

Jubilee is a qualified educator, leader and emergent researcher with over 25 years of educational experience in primary and tertiary education contexts. Jubilee is recognised as having excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills in digital technology in education.

Jubilee is an emerging researcher working substantively in digital technology and ICT in education for over 20 years. She completed her PhD in Early Childhood Educator's decision-making with digital technology. Research interests include digital technologies and literacy, emerging technologies, including Gen AI, digital well-being and cyber safety. She is investigating music's role in enhancing young children's literacy learning and pre-service educators' use of digital technology. Jubilee is an active Early Years Research Lab (EYRL) member at SCU.

Jubilee has been recognised as an outstanding teacher with a Vice Chancellor's Teaching Award. She has a wealth of teaching experience in Digital Technology, ICT (Information Communication Technology), English Curriculum, Literacy Education, and Professional Experience. Jubilee is an accredited NSW teacher who is considered a leader in Digital Literacy and Digital Technologies.

Jubilee is a committee member of the Northern NSW branch of the Australian Literacy Educators Association (ALEA), organising professional learning and literacy support through student scholarships and prizes. She is active in Primary English Teaching Association Australia (PETAA). She has presented at National conferences, including the Australian Literacy Educators Association (ALEA), Primary English Teaching Association Australia (PETAA) and Early Childhood Australia (ECA), AARE (Australian Association of Research in Education) and International Early Childhood (European Early Childhood Research Association – EECERA).

Jubilee is available to supervise Honours students.
