Biography

Dr Hanh Dao is a registered nurse, university lecturer, and health researcher with extensive experience across diverse cultural and clinical settings. Her work spans aged care, health services, outcome measurement, health promotion, mental health, and workforce management, with a strong commitment to improving care quality and health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Research

Dr Dao has contributed to major national and international research programs and has published widely in leading academic journals. As an early-career researcher, she has achieved an exceptional citation record, including the recent authorship of the most-cited and most-read article in the Journal of Advanced Nursing. She has successfully led and secured a consumer engagement grant, a research seed grant, an international research partnership grant, a writing grant and multiple travel grants. Her research excellence has been recognised through multiple awards, including the UQ CHSR Early Career Researcher Award and the Rising Star Award.

Teaching

Dr Dao has taught and supervised students across nursing, public health, medicine, and research scholar programs. She is dedicated to supporting the next generation of health professionals and researchers through teaching and mentorship.
