Biography

Clarissa is a Lecturer at Southern Cross University (SCU). As a qualified social worker, Clarissa worked for over 20 years in direct practice with children and families, primarily in the Queensland statutory child protection system, together with private practice. With SCU, Clarissa supports students in developing their skills and knowledge in direct practice, working in organisations and with children and families. Clarissa is passionate about the translation of knowledge into practice.

Research

Clarissa recently completed her Doctoral Degree, examining the role of education in supporting social work students to develop and integrate professional social work resilience into their practice.
