Biography

Christina Langley is a PhD candidate at Southern Cross University, working within the Moving Corals program under the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP).

Research

Her research focuses on improving the survival and settlement of coral larvae reared in situ from wild spawn slicks, with the goal of advancing large-scale reef restoration techniques.

Other

Originally from Denmark, Christina moved to Australia in 2016 and earned a Master of Science in Marine Biology and Ecology from James Cook University in 2019. She has worked with the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies, and the Crown-of-Thorns Starfish Control Program, gaining field and research experience in coral reproduction, aquaculture, water quality, and reef ecology across the Great Barrier Reef.
