Biography and expertise

Tanju is an internationally-recognised expert for developing innovative solutions to a wide range of scientific problems requiring sensors and actuators, mechanical design, materials synthesis, simulations, measurement techniques and instrumentation. He is currently a lecturer within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University (SCU). Tanju has several years of international experience in Japan and China before joining SCU, and still maintains strong research collaborations internationally and domestically in a wide variety of fields, from portable applications of microelectromechanical (MEMS) agricultural sensing units to fundamental physics investigations of 2D materials. Tanju has worked with partner universities, government institutes and private companies to investigate a wide range multi-disciplinary and complex problems. Tanju is a dynamic and passionate educator, who is highly motivated in delivering top quality classes to prepare students with the necessary engineering skills needed in real-world scenarios.
