Biography
Rose Mutuota is a Lecturer in Inclusive and Special Education at Southern Cross University.
Her interdisciplinary research focuses on inclusive and special education, culturally responsive teaching, Indigenous methodologies and knowledges, Southern perspectives in research, and decolonising the curriculum. Her current research projects explore issues of identity and belonging among marginalised groups within Australian academia.
She has extensive teaching experience in schools high schools in both Australia and internationally. She has been a lecturer at the University of New England from 2021 to 2026 where she taught Inclusive and Special education units. At UNE, Rose also coordinated the School of Education Seminar Series and was assistant editor of the School of Education newsletter.
