Biography

Robert James Smith is an Adjunct Professor in Education. He was a practising teacher for over twenty years in Secondary schools, but also with experience in Primary as well as Technical education and in administration. At Southern Cross University for many years he was the leader in all aspects of English education. He also has extensive experience in university-wide governance and academic accreditation. He is a linguist, historian and educator. Current research interests include leadership, university–school–education system partnerships, as well as folklore studies and regional history.
