Biography and expertise
Rebecca Redmond is an Associate Lecturer and Bachelor of Health Science (Health & Lifestyle) Course Coordinator at the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine. Rebecca is also a current PhD Candidate at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Additionally, Rebecca was also an inaugural Fellow for the International Naturopathy Research Leadership and Capacity Building Program conducted by the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine, UTS.

Teaching
Rebecca possesses a breadth of teaching expertise spanning undergraduate and postgraduate programs within the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine. Her teaching portfolio encompasses unit development and curriculum delivery across disciplines such as naturopathy, integrative medicine—with a focus on women’s health and reproductive health—and research methodologies. Additionally, Rebecca assumes supervisory roles for undergraduate students participating in the Research Futures Scholarship Program, along with students engaged in postgraduate studies in naturopathic medicine.
Community Engagement
Rebecca holds a role as a Co-Chair for the Sexual and Reproductive Health Special Interest Group within the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia. Aligned with her dedication to addressing unmet healthcare needs and advancing clinical governance, Rebecca maintains a pivotal consumer membership on a National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards committee under the auspices of West Moreton Health. Rebecca actively engages in multiple memberships across internal committees and boards at SCU.
Research
In alignment with her teaching focus, Rebecca is establishing a research portfolio centred on various aspects of women's health, notably endometriosis, pregnancy loss, and perinatal health. Her interest in endometriosis care stems from a desire to explore integrative and innovative approaches in addressing this condition. Specifically, Rebecca's doctoral research delves into naturopathic clinical perspectives on managing endometriosis within the Australian context. Expanding her research interests, Rebecca has interests in perinatal health, examining it through the lens of compassionate care models. Her work aims to address societal stigma experienced by mothers and to provide compassionate support for women encountering pregnancy loss, including women experiencing recurrent loss.
