Biography and expertise

Dr Mathew Alexanderson is a Research Fellow who has worked on the Soil CRCs Surveying Farm Practices project since 2019. The project aims to better understand current farming practices, the various influences on farmer decision-making and how farming will change into the future. He is also the Project Developer for the Regenerative Agriculture Mentoring Project (RAMP), funded by the NSW Environmental Trust and SQNNSW Innovation Hub.

Mathew's thesis, Social Drivers of Transitions to Regenerative Agriculture, explored how beliefs in anthropogenic climate change and education levels differentiate farming groups, offering insights for enhancing knowledge dissemination, future planning, and governance to support resilience in a changing climate.
