Biography

Dr Kerrie Stimpson is a Teaching Scholar in SCU College and Coordinator of the Bachelor of Innovation with Honours, where she supports students to engage in interdisciplinary, research-informed learning and innovation. She also teaches across Enabling programs (Preparing for Success Program and Transition to Uni) and undergraduate programs, specialising in STEM education and transformative learning approaches that support diverse and non-traditional students to build confidence, reduce mathematics anxiety, and succeed in higher education. Her contributions to teaching and curriculum innovation have been recognised through multiple institutional teaching awards.

Research

Dr Kerrie Stimpson completed her PhD in Environmental Science and Management, focusing on engagement, empowerment and collaborative research practices. Her current research is situated within the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT), with a particular focus on Enabling education, mathematics attitudes and confidence, and pathways into STEM. Through her Honours teaching and coordination role, she supports emerging researchers and innovators to develop research capability and engage in industry-focused inquiry.
