Biography

Dr. Kamaruzzaman is a research professional specialising in plant pathology, entomology, and integrated pest management, with extensive experience across laboratory, glasshouse, and field research systems. His work focuses on crop protection, insect ecology, plant–microbe interactions, and applied agricultural research that supports sustainable production and biosecurity outcomes.

He has contributed to multidisciplinary research projects in Australia and internationally, including pathogen diagnostics, insect colony development, field trial coordination, and research data management. His experience spans academic, government, and industry settings, with a strong emphasis on practical research delivery, scientific collaboration, and the translation of research findings into agricultural solutions. He also completed postdoctoral research focused on beneficial microbe–based farming systems, supporting sustainable crop production through integrated disease and pest management approaches.

Dr. Kamaruzzaman holds a PhD in Plant Pathology and has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is particularly interested in applied agricultural science that enhances crop resilience, improves pest management, and supports sustainable farming systems.
