Research
Professor Schulz’s research interests range from inorganic carbon acquisition and stable carbon isotope fractionation in marine phytoplankton, climate/ocean change impacts on pelagic ecosystems, climate/ocean change mitigation approaches and ecosystem restoration. For that purpose he combines experimental, local and global observational datasets with conceptual and numerical modelling. Professor Schulz has been awarded a number of research grants, including several from the Australian Research Council (ARC), and he has published widely on his research areas.
