Biography and expertise

Mr. Jobin M Scaria is the Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics) and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Information Technology at IBSUniversity PNG. Boasting a rich educational background, Mr. Scaria has a diverse educational background with degrees ranging from a Ph.D. (in progress) in Data Mining to a BSc. in Engineering Physics with Computer Science. With notable academic achievements, including high percentages in MTech (Masters in Information technology), MCA (Masters in Computer application), they exhibit a strong foundation in Computer Science.

With over 20 years of teaching experience across the Middle East, India, and Papua New Guinea for IBSUniversity and Southern Cross University, he has conducted lectures in diverse areas such as developing user experience, designing user experience, interactive multimedia application development, computer programming, software engineering, database management and web development. His teaching portfolio also includes supervision of numerous computing projects.

Mr. Scaria has served as HOD and exam coordinator in previous roles, showcasing his leadership skills. He possesses a keen interest in staying updated with cutting-edge computing technologies such as Android programming, artificial intelligence, and Python. Additionally, he has organized festivals for students alongside his academic responsibilities. He has participated in numerous training workshops focusing on areas like Blended Learning Strategies, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics, acquiring certifications in Agile Project Management and Del Carnegie.

His academic achievements, research contributions, and active participation in training workshops reflect his commitment to excellence in the field of computer science.
