Biography and expertise

Jake is an educational leader with over three decades of experience across Australian and international schools. Holding a Doctorate in Education, he has been instrumental in driving sustainable school improvement and fostering teacher capacity through innovative educational practices. As the Group Head of Schools for Aoba Education Group in Tokyo, he has successfully implemented transformative strategies that enhance both educational outcomes and community engagement. A strong advocate for the teacher-as-researcher model, Jake has published extensively on leadership and school reform, authoring books and numerous journal articles. His work emphasizes the importance of personalized learning, flexible learning spaces, and curriculum development for global mindedness. Recognized globally, Jake has received accolades such as the Outstanding Contribution to Education Award from GESS Dubai.
