Biography

Jacob Yeo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in coastal biogeochemistry at Southern Cross University, specializing in greenhouse gas emissions from Australian estuaries.

Growing up in the city state of Singapore, Jacob first obtained a Diploma in Biotechnology from Singapore Polytechnic in 2010. After completing his National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces, he enrolled in The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia and obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2014 and a First Class Honours by Research in 2015, majoring in marine science.

Jacob enrolled into Graduate school at Southern Cross University in 2017 and graduated with a PhD in Environmental Management in 2022. He continues to build on his PhD work on greenhouse gas emissions from estuaries in his current role as a postdoctoral fellow at SCU.

Jacob is a member of SCU's Research Clusters:

  • Catchments, Coasts and Communities
