Biography and expertise

Dr. Hoan Nguyen is a professional civil engineer with a deep passion for exploring sustainable infrastructures to improve our daily lives. Currently, he is working on the interface of material science and data science within the context of civil engineering. His diverse research interests include smart materials and structures, digital engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Dr. Nguyen completed his Master of Science in Korea and earned his Ph.D. from Monash University. Before joining Southern Cross University (SCU), he held the prestigious position of a CERC fellow at CSIRO. His background and expertise position him as a dedicated professional who contributes significantly to advancing knowledge in civil engineering.
