Biography
Christopher Klaas is a graduate researcher with Southern Cross University.
Research
Christopher Klaas’s research focuses on investigating the feasibility of using the native leaf oyster, Isognomon ephippium, in shellfish reef restoration. This involves studying the life history, reproductive biology and ecophysiology of leaf oysters to inform future conservation efforts and restoration guidelines in Australia. His research interests are focused on interdisciplinary approaches to understand drivers of change in marine ecosystems to inform ecosystem-based management. This involves areas such as spatial and disturbance ecology, ecosystem restoration and invertebrate biology.
