This workshop is right for you if you have:
- a good general understanding of HEA fellowship and its benefits
- used the Fellowship Category Decision Tool to determine that associate fellow, or fellow, is the right category for you
- decided that you are ready to begin the process.
Associate fellows are either fairly new to teaching or are in roles with little or no direct teaching that support student learning. Many professional staff will fall into this category.
Fellows are in the early- to mid-career stage and can provide evidence of effectiveness in more substantive teaching and supporting learning roles.
In this workshop, Dr Polly Lai will identify whether associate fellow or fellow is the correct category for you and go through the application process, providing an overview of the resources and support available as you prepare your submission.
In this workshop, we will answer these questions:
- What is the usual timeline of the application process?
- What steps do I need to go through?
- Who will be my mentor?
- What evidence do I need to support my application?
- How do I reference the standards?
- What is the format of my application?
- Can I apply for other categories of fellowship in the future?
