Abstract
Media literacy education has the potential to develop young people's critical thinking around their everyday media practices. Media literacy has received increased attention in recent years alongside concerns about the growing sophistication and prevalence of mis- and disinformation.
This report details a study undertaken on the Newshounds media literacy program developed by Squiz Kids. It reports on 4 sub-studies that address teacher and student perspectives of the program, family perspectives of the Squiz Kids content more broadly and improvements suggested by a teacher reference group.
