Abstract
This report examines how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is being integrated into a Faculty of Health curriculum at an Australian university, highlighting current practices and perceptions. A survey conducted between April and June 2025 targeted unit assessors across the Faculty, gathering responses from 54 assessors representing 118 out of 300 units. The aim was to understand GenAI's presence in unit descriptions, outcomes, teaching methods, and assessments, as well as to explore future possibilities for its adoption. The findings reveal that GenAI integration is at a formative stage. Of the units surveyed, 67 (56.8%) included some reference to GenAI, suggesting a gradual shift towards engagement. Yet, explicit mentions are absent from core curriculum documents such as unit descriptions and learning outcomes and are only explicitly mentioned in assessment tasks in 17 of the surveyed units. This pattern shows that while interest in GenAI is rising among educators, comprehensive curriculum adoption has not yet taken hold. The insights gathered offer an important foundation for future planning, faculty development, and student literacy-building initiatives. Ultimately, this report provides a concise snapshot to inform ongoing efforts to harness GenAI in health education.
