These cards have been designed to be used with children to start conversations about the media and technology. Each card is aligned with one of the 6 'key concepts' of media literacy education. You will find an icon at the top of each card - this tells you which concept is being considered. There are 6 green Educator Cards that show what the icons look like and help to explain the key concepts.
These cards were developed by Dr Amanda Levido as part of the project Developing Media Literacy through Children’s Everyday Media Experiences, funded by the QUT Early Career Researchers Idea Scheme and Southern Cross University. Illustrations are by Amy Slatem of Studio Slatem.

Instructions for printing
While you are welcome to print these cards any way you like, here are some tips you might find useful:
Print 4 cards to a page – if you use Acrobat, select ‘Multiple’ under ‘Page size & Handling.’ You can then choose how many cards per sheet. I recommend selecting ‘Custom’ and use a 2 by 2 layout.
I also recommend turning on a page border so you can see the outline each card. Under ‘Page size & Handling’ select the box for ‘Print page border.’
The first card in the document is designed to be the back of the rest of the cards and is not necessary to print.
If you also want to print an envelope to store the cards, print the separate file to actual size on A3. Then cut around the outline, and fold into an envelope along the pink lines.
