Abstract

A new collection of writing curated by Australian writer Maxine Beneba Clarke explores the experiences of Africans who have grown up in Australia. The book is divided into six sections, but there are clear themes throughout including experiences of displacement, isolation, racism, resilience, survival, and the fight for the right – or privilege – to call Australia home.
