Abstract
Dear Editor-in-Chief,
Firstly, we would like to congratulate Albano, Basile [1] on their review article entitled “Shear‑wave elastography for the evaluation of tendinopathies: a systematic review and meta‑analysis”. The research draws sound conclusions that are well founded and acknowledges the appropriate level of uncertainty. Based on the presented data and conclusions, we have identified a potential application of shear wave elastography (SWE) velocity in sporting and rehabilitation contexts to assess not only tendinopathy, but tendon health more generally....
