Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Overview). The objectives are as follows:
Overall objective:
To systematically summarise best evidence on the effects and safety of yoga for people with schizophrenia.
Primary objective:
To summarise evidence from Cochrane systematic reviews on the effects of yoga for people with schizophrenia.
Secondary objectives:
If Cochrane systematic reviews have not covered a relevant comparison, we aim:
to summarise evidence from non‐Cochrane systematic reviews – which do not substantially overlap with the relevant Cochrane systematic reviews – on the effects and safety of yoga for people with schizophrenia;
to systematically identify gaps – though identification of relevant narrative reviews – in the evidence base that will inform recommendations for new reviews and trials; and
to summarise information on reported outcomes and make recommendations for the reporting of standard outcomes in future trials and reviews.
