Abstract
Here, we provide an overview of peer-reviewed publications in Austral Ecology Volumes 46 and 47, published in 2021 and 2022, respectively. We used text-analysis techniques to assess trends, relationships and biases in the topics, taxa, places and biomes of research published in the journal during this time. We hope to incentivize potential authors to assess the publi-cation trends over the last 2 years and identify opportunities in their research for future publication in Austral Ecology. Our study adds to the rich datasets that we have collected on the topic popularity (Westgate et al., 2020) and manuscript rejections (Andrew, 2020) in Austral Ecology, as well as publication trends more broadly (Andrew et al., 2022).
