Nature and scope of a university's duty, based on the university-student relationship, to protect students from physical injury - the US experience is examined and applied to the Australian context - High Court of Australia decision in Modbury Triangle Shopping Centre v Anzil provides the best approach to determining whether a university owes its students a duty of care, and whether it has breached that duty - measures which universities can implement to discharge their legal responsibilities for their students' personal safety.
