The breathing loss of any storage tank can be prevented which depends on the working pressure with the vapor pressure of the product, the temperature variations of the liquid surface, the vapor space, and finally the setting of the vacuum vent. Thus, a new correlation has been proposed in which four of its coefficients are used to relate the storage pressures of gasolines of various volatilities in uninsulated tanks in kPa (abs) with true vapor pressure (TVP) in kPa (abs). In predicting the storage pressure forgasolines of various volatilities in uninsulated tanks, the maximum liquid surface temperature should be taken into account. It has been found out that the results between the predicted and the reported values had both had a good agreement.
