The article discusses myofascial trigger points or pain that results when a nociceptor and abnormal motor endplate intersect and stimulated by stressors. The idea that treatment for trigger point pain in muscles will reduce pain in the associated satellite trigger point is discussed. The protocol for the manual treatment of tripper points, Swedish massage, is noted.
