Abstract
Cognitive health is fundamental to both individual wellbeing and broader societal prosperity (1). The accumulating evidence that physical activity (PA) enhances cognition has played an important role in shaping PA advocacy strategies (2). However, an expanding body of systematic reviews and meta-analyses reports small effects and inconsistent conclusions. These discrepancies, arising from differences in study aims, design, analytical choices, and risk-of-bias handling, limit translation into policy and practice (3). This infographic (Fig. 1) presents results from the first multilevel meta-analysis examining the under-considered role of context as a moderator of the PA-cognition relationship (4).
