Abstract
In Australia, pre-schoolers are being identified and diagnosed as autistic. The aim of this article is to describe the different paths preschool children and their families can take from identification of developmental or behavioural concerns to ongoing support, intervention and healthcare. There are many ways in which general practitioners, working alongside other professionals and with relevant services, can assist each child and family.
