Abstract

Dalatias licha Marine
Dalatias licha has been reported as a species with a wide geographical distribution. However, it is now reported for Venezuela and the southern Caribbean Sea waters for the first time. One female individual (1.42 m TL) was incidentally captured at a depth of 240 m on the northeastern side of Macanao Peninsula, on Margarita Island. Some aspects of its distribution and morphometry are discussed.
