Abstract
This article examines how a second-year graphic design studio course and its curated story list operate together as a decolonising intervention in design education. Situated in Naarm/Melbourne on Birrarung-ga, the paper focuses on the first four weeks of Storytelling through Design (GRAP3071), where students undertake close readings of narrative works that sit outside familiar Euro-American classroom canons and then transpose those readings into graphic decisions.
