Abstract
The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration is a global call to scale up habitat restoration and has seen increased action to halt and reverse ecosystem decline, including the setting of ambitious targets for achieving restoration goals. The environmental, social, educational, and economic benefits of these activities are immense. Moreover, setting targets can spur greater action and support across sectors, as well as highlight the scale of restoration tasks and the challenges that must be solved to achieve them.
