Abstract
We are pleased to bring you this edition of Child Care in Practice, featuring a diverse and thought-provoking collection of international research that explores both common and unique issues in childhood care and education. Papers highlighted in this editorial focus on early childhood daycare and preschool settings, as well as the impact of technology and media on children's development and functioning. This issue brings together studies from various countries, including Argentina, Norway, China, Timor-Leste, the U.S., and the U.K. Each study offers unique insights into the experiences of children, parents, and professionals across diverse cultural and policy contexts. From breastfeeding support in daycare centers to parental perspectives on bullying, and from the integration of LGBTQ+ content in early education to the impact of remote work on childcare decisions, these papers collectively underscore the critical role of inclusive, evidence-based practices in shaping the future of child welfare and development.
