This edited volume explores how teaching and learning activities impact knowledge transmission and acquisition through educational media. The three spotlighted areas are discourses and representations, social networks and teacher resources, and school subjects. Following IARTEM's (International Association for Research on Textbooks and Educational Media) long-standing tradition, the series, in general, and this volume, in particular, connect multiple disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives from eleven countries across the globe. Along with chapters dedicated to empirical research findings, contributors also considered research infrastructure and conceptual work, contributing to an overall progress in the field of educational resources and media. The present volume mirrors the diversity in research on educational media, also considering the praxeological and industry perspective.
