Abstract
This research investigated early childhood educators’ perspectives about school readiness. Early childhood educators are responsible for making decisions that influence children’s learning, development, and understanding of the world while they attend the early childhood setting. In the year prior to the commencement of school, there are frequently discussions held between families and educators about their child’s readiness for school. Early childhood educators can share with the families the child’s learning and development as portrayed in the early childhood setting. But often this does not satisfy parents who may be anxious about their child’s academic achievements.
