Abstract
This research utilized the Tiffin and Kissling designed NETS Analysis to gain an understanding of the sectors within the Bahrain maritime industry and if they formed a functioning cluster. An analysis of the maritime education and training requirements to ensure the continuation and development of the Bahrain Maritime Cluster was developed. The study was carried out from 2009 to 2013 through the period known as the ‘Arab Spring’ and reflects the issues faced when researching in an environment undergoing severe and sudden change.
