Abstract
With increasing focus on issues surrounding athlete performance away from the playing field, it is not unusual for multiple stakeholders to have varying degrees of expectation of what is acceptable and what is not. This study explores how stakeholder theory can be applied to the performance management of athletes, in this case the players of a state-level Australian Football League club, in order to better manage the complex needs of multiple stakeholders.
