Abstract
The Gold Coast is internationally known as Australia's premier tourist destination. The destination provides a range of goods and services for visitors. This includes 141 organisations that offer electronic gaming facilities. This study outlines the methodology to be pursued by the researcher in attempting to determine how and why organizations that offer electronic gaming to tourists, pursue this objective. The study will be completed as the author's PhD. What appears below is a discussion of the broad elements of the work to be undertaken in the next two years. Findings from the work will see implications for destination management and success being provided. Information available at this point is a result of secondary data analysis.
