Abstract
Historically the Anatomy and Physiology unit experienced poor success rates (55%) despite reasonable student satisfaction rates. As part of curriculum reform, we implemented evidence-based practice that saw increases in student satisfaction and some improvements in success. The introduction of the new immersive Southern Cross Model opened more opportunities to engage students in interactive activities that reinforced key concepts. These changes, along with additional supports, increased student satisfaction to 92.6% (n=423 responses) and student success to 84% (n=785 enrolment) by Term 2, 2023.
