Abstract
This themed panel brings together three early childhood scholars and colleagues from Australia and New Zealand who occupy different roles within their universities. Through storytelling ‘events’ from our everyday experiences, we invite the audience to sit with the ‘troubles’ surrounding educational institutions, systems, and structures, and we open a space to think together about how to co-create new forms of resistance and community in spaces that care for and with early childhood education. The panel responds to the conference call for community building, effective allyship, and resistance, specifically regarding the cascading impacts of neoliberal and neocolonial education.
