The poster reported on a Co-operative Inquiry that engaged students in a participatory research process as part of their student placement. The study examined social work student experiences and understanding of social work practice in disaster-affected communities. The study identified the increasing need for students to have knowledge and skills in this area and discussed the benefits of the inclusion of this topic in social work curricula.
