Abstract
This chapter is an experiment. Five authors, one who wrote the scholarly article () inspiring this chapter, and four newly introduced to it. The one and the four inhabit an interstitial space (), a place of negotiated meaning. An iterative exchange – a telling and retelling of the story of the original article – creates new insights, new meanings and new expressions. In the external and physical reality of the discussion, twirling winds synchronize with spoken words. Through a dialogic review of structures – structures of discourse generativity, within the text, of writing together – we question linearity of time and events, and the concept of vortex emerges. The fundamental matter in hand remains: what might the learner look like in a socioecological world?
