Twenty-first century learning in the humanities

This chapter examines five elements associated with the knowledge base of the humanities, namely, the thory into practice dilemma, thinking classrooms, metacognition, learning technologies and philosophies of learners. This chapter highlights the importance of accessing students' thinking to understand and build students' learning outcomes.
